photos - hydrocephalus - part 2

This tiny baby's head is out of proportion with the rest of his body.

After surgery the difference in head size is noticeable! The eyes will get used to the decreased pressure in the brain and the "sundown" effect will decrease over time.

This father walked around with his baby waiting for his child's turn for surgery.

The nursing staff hired for the surgeries have helped at prior surgeries and are now experienced at looking after hydrocephalus babies post-op. Project Medishare personnel oversee the surgical process making sure that everything is organized and that the team has everything that they need.

This neurosurgeon is one of the neurosurgeons who helped in the hydrocephalus surgeries.
