The voting site near the grounds of the Ministry of Health (MSPP) did not have protests in front either. It was busy.
The UN kept an eye out in front making sure that people behaved.
We drove on and noticed a lot of black smoke in the distance.... signs of burning tires. This tank was watching the street and we pulled around it to find out where the origin of the fire was.
Burning tires were along the side of "Grand Rue" - Dessalines.
Dessalines was heavily damaged during the earthquake. During the week it is a beehive of activity. You can see that no activity was taking place here on election day.
