After the protesters were finished with their speaking they walked away holding their candidate's card high in the air for the soldiers to see.
All the action took place near a tent camp as well. It was even worse for people living in tents to vote. It seemed as if more people couldn't vote than could!
Protests like this one took place at several locations in Port-au-Prince during election day.
This is the plugged canal. Syrofam is floating on top. The new name for these type of canals is now "Cholera Canals"!
We drove onwards and passed the voting booths set up at the Ecole Nationale du Perou (Peru National School). It was a busy place!
