I took a bunch of photos of the downtown. It looked like a ghost town!
There were a few pedestrians and this bicyclist.
We stopped in front of the "Marche Fer" (Iron Market). It used to be a large market where lots of vendors sold things. You could find all sorts of things here.
Sadly a large fire and the earthquake destroyed it. The site bears the "ISPAN" seal identifying it as a historical site. The Iron Market is being rebuilt and a lot of steel is using to make it earthquake proof!
A cellular phone company, Digicel is paying for the reconstruction of the Iron Market. This Irish company helps Haiti a lot. We continued on and came across a rowdy group of people! I'll post some more photos of the election day in a couple of days.
