VIDEO - TESTIFYING TO THE UN COUNCIL

Haitian women live in insecurity in the refuge camps. There are many incidences of rapes against women and children. Malya Villard-Appolon, is a Haitian women's rights activist and a partner of MADRE (an organization defending the rights of women). She testified before the UN Human Rights Council in June 2010 explaining the situation of women and girls and rapes they suffer in the refuge camps.
