Haiti has been facing environmental problems the last couple weeks in the form of flooding and heavy rains. Once again I missed marking an important day in the calendar. Every June 5th is World Environment Day. An other important part of the environment which is lacking here in Haiti is forests. 2011 is the International Year of the Forests. To mark the occasion the following video is entitled "WHY HATE THE FORESTS". Happy belated Environment Day and don't forget to hug a tree!
