VIDEO - ELECTION PROTESTS

This is our "UNDERCOVER UNBIASED JOURNALIST" look for Amos and I, when we are out on the streets of Port-au-Prince the last couple of weeks. Do you think that we fool anyone with our disguise? We got this gift of a square red card from a member of a crowd that we met on Thursday for a momento of the march! (just kidding ..... we scooped it off the ground after we came out of hiding from the action going on in the street). You'll see what action when you watch the videos below!

If you look carefully in this photo you will find journalists. I call this the Waldo photo. Can you find the journalists? (I'll give you a hint....... look for a "blanc") The man with the long nose and black shirt I believe is the journalist featured in the 2 video links below.

The people are frustrated with corrupt politicians and corruption even of the election process itself. Last Thursday and again on Sunday protests were led against the corruption and fraud that occurred on election day (November 28th). Preliminary election results are due from the electoral authorities today. A lot of schools were closed as concerned parents kept their children home out of fear of election results being given and children having to walk the streets with protesters. This afternoon the authorities said that the results would be made at 6:00pm. People are waiting. I think that the news will be released late at night with the hope that demonstrations won't be made. Either way there will most likely be one form of protest or possibly celebration if Michel Martelly comes out on top!

Here is video from the most recent protest. Follow the link to:
