The neurosurgery team from the University of Miami arrived on Saturday afternoon. Here they are unloading at Bernard Mevs Hospital. Surgeries will start on Sunday morning.
Saturday morning the children and their parents showed up at the hospital ready for surgery.
Saturday was spent by the hospital staff at organizing the children into their beds and preparing their hospital dossiers.
Wichtarline, from the Tomazeau area is laying comfortably in his crib.
This mother came by boat from Jeremie hoping that the team would help her. They did and added her to the list! From an original 15 patients their operating list eventually reached 27! It was great that they were willing to help these extra children.
