US COMPLETES $5M PROJECT FOR HAITI POLICE

PORT-AU-PRINCE - Haitian police and US Embassy officials have completed the US$5 million renovation of a police academy in Haiti's capital.
The work by Contracting, Consulting, Engineering LLC included repairs to a pavilion damaged in the 2010 earthquake and a surrounding wall.
The Annapolis, Maryland-based firm also built a 900-seat auditorium that will serve as a new venue for meetings and conferences for officers.
The facility was inaugurated yesterday by Deputy Chief of Mission Dan Foote and Police Chief Mario Andresol.
