In addition, the Head of State has committed to grant scholarships to over 25 students from the commune of Cite Soleil. The President of the Republic deems it important to support young people in their studies, so they can begin preparing for their future.
These visits (Jalouzi and Cite Soleil) were also an opportunity for the President to proceed with the distribution of several dozen footballs to children in these two neighborhoods. Recipients did not hide their satisfaction, and congratulated the Head of State for this gesture.
The various community leaders, who took the floor to present the main needs of the commune of Cite Soleil, sent their congratulations to President Martelly for his presence in this area. They say they see in the Head of State, the desire to improve the living conditions of the poorest strata of the Haitian population.
