THE PNH CELEBRATES ITS 17TH ANNIVERSARY

President Martelly, participated on Tuesday at the official ceremony for the celebration of the 17th anniversary of the Haiti National Police (PNH), at the Police Academy, on Route de Frères, in Pétion-Ville.

The ceremony that took place under the sign of friendliness, brought together people from all vital sectors of the country: the Government, Parliament, the judiciary, the diplomatic and consular corps, as well as human rights organizations.

The President of the Republic congratulated the PNH for the road traveled in this great mission to protect and serve. The Head of State recalled that the great crises of insecurity at a certain moment had overshadowed the police, and are practically resolved.

Faced with the various problems confronted by the agents of the different specialized Units of the PNH, the Head of State said he was ready to do everything possible to assist them to improve their living conditions. To this end, he announced the strengthening of the ONAVILLE project, which, according to him, could help the police find housing at a much more decent and a reasonable price.

The ceremony was also an opportunity for the Head of State, to participate in the awarding of certificates of the 9th promotion, to 153 new inspectors graduated from the PNH.
