SENIOR OFFICIAL REBUKES HAITI AMBASSADOR'S VIEW ON COMPATRIOTS' RIGHTS
(Dominican Today) -

Santo Domingo - The Presidency’s Antinarcotics Adviser on Friday rebuked Haiti ambassador Fritz Cineas’ request that Dominican authorities guarantee his compatriot’s human rights, claiming violations in repatriation proceedings.

Marino Vinicio Castillo said the country’s reality isn’t like the around 22 Haitian entities denounce, and instead is the fact that the neighboring country’s nationals are concerned with the enforcement of the immigration rules, which they reject.

By stressing that the Haitian ambassador went so far as to say that "Haitians have a certain right on the very principles of migration," the official reminded the diplomat that that isn’t so.

Castillo warned that to organize their entry and exit, any foreigner who comes to the Dominican Republic has to comply with its laws and regulations, especially Haitians; a flow that he affirms “has always been in disorder.”
