THE SENATE COMMISSION FOR THE RATIFICATION OF THE PM, FINALLY FORMED

Despite the preconditions that Senator Jean-Charles Moïse wanted to impose, and who presides the Senate Commission of Inquiry on the nationality of members of the Government, the Senate decided to bypass him and pass a resolution yesterday, Tuesday in order to form the Special Commission charged to receive and analyze the documents of Prime Minister-designate, Laurent Lamothe. It has taken two weeks since the designation of the Prime Minister by the Chief of State, to finally form this Commission, composed of 7 senators and the ratification process actively resumes its course.
Article 1.
There has been formed a Special Commission composed of the Honourable Senators : Jean Rodolphe Joazile, Kély C. Bastien, Franky Exius, Melius Hyppolite, Jean Baptiste Bien Aimé, Jeanty Jean William, Lucas Sainvil.
Article 2.
The mission of the Senate Special Commission consists in :
- Firstly, to receive all records of Mr. Laurent Salvador Lamothe, Prime Minister-designate
- Secondly, investigate, analyze, and study the records of the Prime Minister-designate
- Thirdly, produce a report on the analysis of the records of the Prime Minister-designate
- Fourthly, present before the Assembly of Senators the inquiry report of the analysis of the records of the Prime Minister-designate.
Article 3.
The Assembly of Senators grants a maximum period of 15 calendar days to the Special Commission to submit its report in plenary session.
