ARTICLE - PM RATIFICATION - DELAY?

PROBABLE DELAY ON THE VERIFICATION OF DOCUMENTS OF DESIGNATED PM
(Haiti Libre) -

The Commission responsible for the verification of documents of the Prime Minister-designate, Laurent Lamothe, will meet today Tuesday. The two subcommittees nationality and residence should "in principle" present at that meeting their respective preliminary reports, indicated Senator Kély Bastien, member of the Sub-Committee, responsible for the issue of nationality. "What we have done is that the 3 passports that Laurent Lamothe gave us, we have transmitted them to the Commission in the senate who is working on the issue of the nationality of members of the government. They will give us back a preliminary report [...] by tomorrow [Tuesday] They will give us a report on this issue [...] The 2 points that seem confused and that deserve a clarification, ... is especially the question of nationality and residence [...] When the Commission report is completed, it will give us the passports, so that we can validate the information that has been given to us, and the analysis has been made, so that we can put this in our own report [...]"

Contrary to what had been announced, the final report of the Commission, to be presented Thursday, March 29 before the Assembly of Senators, has a high chance of being postponed. Senator Hyppolite Mélius, Head of the
"Residence" Sub-Committee, with his colleagues Franky Exius, and Lucas Sainvil, stated that the Commission should ask of Laurent Lamothe, additional documents regarding his residence,... and that the verification work takes time.
