This is the interior of the fort. The stairway leads to the ramparts where cannon used to be.
The guys are heading around a corner to explore another opening in the fort walls.
The entrance had a heavy, solid wooden door.
This room had a small sideroom to the left in the picture above.
It was a tunnel that people say at one time was used to connect Fort Jacque with Fort Alexandre. The tunnel collapsed over the years and you can't go far.
