ARTICLE - DEPUTIES - JUSTICE AGAINST CEP

DEPUTIES ARE DEMANDING JUSTICE AGAINST MEMBERS OF THE CEP
(Haiti Libre) -

Following the dissolution of the Provisional Electoral Council, deputy Eloune Doréus requires that the electoral advisers, including former President of the CEP, Gaillot Dorsinvil, be submitted for justice, and that they explain the facts for which they are charged, so that justice takes all necessary measures against them.

Deputy Patrick Joseph stated that "...the population is eager to see all those involved in scandals across the country respond to justice", and hopes that the authorities concerned will give the adequate meanss necessary in this case.

On the other hand, according to Mr. Osner Févry, Ribel Pierre a former member of the CEP, who was about to leave the country on Saturday, saw his passport confiscated by the departments concerned at the time that he was about to enter the departure lounge. Mr. Févry stressed that justice had taken no measure prohibiting departure against the adviser, but that someone else had decided otherwise.
