INAUGURATION OF THE TOWN HALLS OF CERCA CARVAJAL AND SAVANETTE

This week, Mr. Thierry Mayard-Paul, the Minister of the Interior, Local Authorities and National Defence, accompanied by the President of the Republic Michel Martelly, on the occasion of a tour of the Centre Department participated in the inaugurations of two town halls in Savanette and Cerca Carvajal.
These two newly built buildings were constructed with the financial support of the Ministry of the Interior and the Fund for Economic and Social Assistance (FAES). During his speech in Savanette, Mr. Mayard-Paul declared, "The new town hall is a concrete representation of the determination of the President and his team to best serve each community, in order to bring a radical change through the creation of jobs and economic growth... We want to transform people's needs by sustainable solutions through constructive action."
The mayors of these municipalities took advantage of these inaugurations to present their list of grievances to government officials. President Martelly and the Interior Minister, Mayard-Paul, took note of the demands, and are committed to provide answers to some urgent requests.
This initiative is a significant achievement in the objective of the Ministry of the Interior, Territorial Collectivities and National Defense, to strengthen all communities in country for a better performance within the community, the creation of employment and the improvement of living conditions throughout the country.
