photos - family vacation - part 47

In Haiti the slaves that revolted and went into the mountains were called the "Neg Mawon". In Jamaica they were called the "Maroons". It was interesting to see the similarity in part of the histories of Haiti and Jamaica.
Usain Bolt is the fastest man in the world and he is a native of Jamaica. He is in the same scale as the famous Jamaican Bobsled Team. We didn't have time to go bobsledding but we passed the site on our way to Ocho Rios.
Behind these gates is the community of Falmouth and it is just like Haiti with people wanting to sell you something and pressuring to buy. Some people don't like Jamaica because of this but to me it felt like home in Haiti :)
There were these 3 Jamaican policemen keeping an eye on the gates.
Another view of the Destiny ship in the distance.
