Billboards for the localization of our tourist attractions
To allow a better circulation of visitors towards our tourist attractions, 5 billboards will be deployed at the initiative of the South departmental Office of Tourism, and by the initiative of the South Coast. These billboards will allow tourists to locate and discover:: the Botanical Garden of Les Cayes - Saut de Touyac - Saut Mathurine - the Fort des Oliviers - Cave Marie Jeanne and Kounoubois - Gelée - Dauphinée Beach - Kokoyé Anglade - Zanana Beach and île à Vache.
Buses for the tourist visits:
The Association of Owners and Drivers of Haiti has made available to the Ministry of Tourism, 30 buses to help visits of tourist sites of: Port Salut - Port a Piment - St Louis du Sud and Saut Mathurine.
763 hotel rooms in development
According to STR data, the total number of existing hotel rooms in Haiti in December 2011 was 1,674 rooms. To this number we should add 763 hotel rooms under development, of which 220 are already under construction and 543 more are in the final planning stages.
100 other rooms, not included in this number, are in pre-planning.
If tourism in Jacmel begins to develop again, we learned that the town of Milot was also trying to position itself as a potential tourist destination. To be continued...
