END OF GRAFFITI ON THE WALLS OF PROPERTIES

Mr. Thierry Mayard-Paul, the Minister of Interior and of Territorial Collectivities is determined to fight against the non-compliance of the rights of private property, which is reaching alarming proportions, especially during street demonstrations and electoral campaigns.

The Ministry reminds everyone, that the respect of the right to private property is constitutional and sacred. In order to enforce this principle, it strictly prohibits protesters, supporters of movements, and any individual or sector to affix graffiti or scribble on the walls of properties. Any person infringing this principle will be severely punished in accordance with the prescribed law.
