PORT-AU-PRINCE - The Federal Unit Fighting Corruption (ULCC) submitted Monday to the prosecutor of Port-au-Prince the record of several public institutions, over 14, where cases of corruption were recorded.

Several agencies, including the Fund of Economic and Social Assistance (FAES) and National Television of Haiti (TNH) are affected by the Prosecutor's investigation of Port-au-Prince, following information from the fight against corruption unit, learned Haiti Press Network.

Government Commissioner Jean Renel Senatus said "he is very committed to fight corruption in all its forms, and the guilty will be punished."

"If someone is involved in corruption, he must be stopped. I would not hesitate to interpellate, regardless of the person involved in acts of corruption," he said.

The Federal Unit Fighting Corruption (ULCC) and the technical support office in the parliament of MINUSTAH, held last weekend a two day retreat where more than thirty deputies and senators were invited to take part, to work on a draft law on corruption. After this meeting, the parliamentarians adopted a resolution affirming their commitment to strengthen the fight against this scourge.
