photos- earthquake anniversary - part 6

Amos is to the right with the white hat on. It was a time of reflection for him too. His brother Samuel Marcelin died in the collapse of the GOC University and his body was never found.

The handicapped are a reminder of January 12th. Thousands of people were injured during the earthquake.

It was amazing to see the "seas" of people all out for a common purpose.

Press from across the world were everywhere!

This woman came running up to us and showed this card. It is her son's identification card. He died in the earthquake. You can see the grief on her face. She had left of procession of people to come up to us. This was a difficult day for her but she dressed in white and joined the crowds of people. In Haiti, people did not wear black, but white to mourn. White is the color of hope. I tried to comfort her by telling her that in Christ a person is not lost. Pray for this woman and for all the many others who were thinking of loved ones who died during the earthquake.
