photos - earthquake anniversary - part 7

There were quite a few people in the grounds of the "Ethologie" site. We went inside to find out what was going on there.

Across the threshold was a yellow powdery design which in creole is a "veve" (voodou symbol).

We passed some drummers.

In an amphitheater type setting a crowd of people were listening to this woman dressed in white speak. Amos told me that we just entered into a voodou ceremonial program. I left the stage area in a hurry.

On the Ethnologie grounds are relics from the 1800's like this cannon on steel wheels.
