photos - various - part 3

The other problem for Christmas to overcome was the lack of cooking pots! I wanted to make sure that they could eat some different food than beans and rice. We went to Megamart (which is like Cosco) and bought a set of cooking ware.

My father said he had never spent a christmas without turkey and we also came home with a turkey as well! The only problem is that the oven was broken. We were able to buy a new stove which was on sale at Valerio Canez. Now we had something to cook the turkey with! My dad made sure to come to Haiti with a large turkey pan to cook the turkey in, that's how determined they were to have a turkey christmas dinner! The turkey was delicious!

They spent time relaxing around the yard and getting to know the Coram Deo family. Just before my dad left he thought it would be good to make something for the house. Solyvien helped him as a "human clamp" to hold the wood to the picnic table.

His purpose was to make a small tv table for my room. We used some of the spare wood from the cabinet making proect.

My mother was laughing because this is the only project they did the entire 2 weeks they were here. It was great to be able to spend time with them!
