photos - post-earthquake - part 2

Hopital Trinite is the hospital that Medecins Sans Frontiere uses as their trauma hospital. During the earthquake this building was heavily damaged. The supports collapsed.

Here is a view of the operating room.

Many people were injured. Here is a woman waiting for treatment on the street. The hospital improvised and did triage care on the road in front of the hospital.

Pallets with cardboard were the beds.

UN forces are on the street helping with security. Not very much food aid has been distributed. At the refuge camps in our neighborhood we saw no food aid being delivered. Pray for the people as they are hungry and thirsty.

It's hard to fathom that millions of dollars have been raised in Canada alone for Haiti and yet people are not getting the food and water they so desperatly need. Is that situation getting better?
May God continue to give you the wisdom and strenghth you need to carry out your daily tasks.
