photos - post-earthquake - part 1

Several countries are represented helping at Hopital La Paix on Delmas 33. The flags are represented above.

The Red Cross/Red Crescent is also there on the grounds at Hopital La Paix.

Mission groups everywhere are working hard helping with the wounded. This mennonite mission in Fond Parisien transports orthopedic cases from Hopital La Paix to the Dominican Republic for surgery. The Dominican Republic has opened its' borders to wounded haitians and treats them for free at their hospitals. Pray for everyone working to help the haitian people during this time.

These medical personnel are from Spain and were working inside Hopital La Paix.

The hospital was packed with patients.

Hi Karen,
I just found your blog via a google search. I'd like to thank you for the details,I pray that describing what you see provides some 'release' for you...I can't imagine how heavy on one's heart this must be to experience it in person.
If you encounter an American nun/nurse at the Missionaires of charity, that's my just-arrived younger sister :) give her my e-greetings and love :)

Karen:
Thanks for posting your pictures ... We've been keeping the people of Haiti and the aid workers there in our prayers. Tonight I led a girls bible group and we talked about Haiti and how we don't understand why God allows these things to happen ... We also talked about going to God in prayer to "cry out" for the people in Haiti.
Keeping you in prayer ... God bless and keep you and those you care for safe.
Heather
