photos - earthquake - part 1

We have around 100 people sleeping in our yard at night. We have prayer services every morning and night led by Pastor Marcelin and the elders of his church.

In the mornings the people leave the yard and are on the street. We don't have enough water so that all can bathe. We ration the water to make drinking water with bleach.

Families make do with what they have. People sleep on the ground on sheets or blankets.

It is amazing how children can still play and be happen even in the midst of a disaster.

Women in the church helped to cook the large pots of food to feed the people. Pray that we can find supplies of food. We have enough food for 9 more days so hopefully in that time we can find some more.

Hi Karen, I have never met you but feel that I know you. It is Tims sister Barb, I am praying every day for you and everyone else. We feel so helpless here. So many of us would love to get on a plane and come to help. Please stay strong and know that you are always on our minds. I loved the picture of the little boy with toothpaste under his nose and smiling. I am glad that the children still have the ability to smile and play games. We can learn from them. Keep up the amazing work and we will do what we can on our end. Barb Hardy.

Hello Karen

You have been in my thoughts and prayer since hearing of the earthquake. When searching online for you I came across your blog. So happy you are safe.

What can I do from here to help ? If money is needed where can I send it?

I know things are hectic there but if you See Ronise and/or Kenish Nahomie's mom and sister can you please let me know?

Thank you

Marieke said it well. I've never met you, but when I heard you remained in Haiti...my thoughts were, what courage and selflessness. To God be the glory and may He continue to be your Protector and Provider as you minister in His Name.
