photos - earthquake - part 2

Everyone who took refuge in our yard was able to relax knowing that they had a place to stay. This is a group of some young people.

This baby is one of the youngest people who are staying in our yard.


Throughout the neighborhood people were putting "toothpaste mustaches" under their nose to help cut down the smell of decomposing bodies. This boy is relaxing beside his mother.

People are living on the streets in these Coleman tents. They are everywhere.

Because of the risk of damage to houses from aftershocks people are living in front of their properties. This is our street Rue Magua. We have a big enough yard that we can stay inside our compound.
