During heavy rains water rushes through Fern Gully and vehicle traffic will have to use an alternate route.
The purpose of our visit was to visit Carl the Spice Man. He is renown for his knowledge of the herbs and spices of Jamaica. Germain was our tour guide for the day and he is standing to the right in the photo.
It was neat to taste and smell all the different leaves.
Jamaica in some ways is a lot like Haiti. This tin shack looks like a Haitian shack.
Carl is quite the character and a friendly man. We enjoyed our visit and the opportunity to learn about how nature provides all kinds of things.
