It would be good if they could make a design change to the canal to protect the intact houses.


In the meantime the walls were raised to the desired height up canal from Yonel's house.



Notice that if the workers take the straight line they will smash through Yonel's house. If they take a slight deviation then the house becomes part of the wall. This is what we are praying for. A deviation to be made by the Red Cross.



Here is another shot further up from the finished part of the canal.



The finished walls were raised and parged. Work has been stopped while Yonel and the down-canal neighbors fight Goliath (British Red Cross). It has been 2 weeks now. I will be leaving for Canada for 3 weeks of vacation on Wednesday and it will be interesting how this situation will turn out.
