ARTICLE - INUQUA - DIGITAL EDUCATION CENTER

INAUGURATION OF THE POLYVALENT DIGITAL CENTER OF INUQUA
(Haiti Libre) -

The French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, the Inter-Agency on Research for Development (AIRD), the Embassy of France in Haiti and the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) have inaugurated .... in Tabarre (Port-au-Prince), as part of project PENDHA, the polyvalent digital center of the America Quisqueya University (INUQUA).

This center is using cutting edge technology, equipped with 20 brand new laptop and a videoconferencing system that is aimed to strengthening of the capacities of the University.

The project PENDHA (Plan of Digital Distance Education in Haiti) is a joint project between the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, the AIRD and the AUF.

It is intended to provide a significant support to the reconstruction of the Haitian University System, through: The deployment and management of a network of 17 digital centers, including 5 dedicated to medicine and health sciences.

The polyvalent digital center of INUQUA is the third of its kind in Haiti. As part of Project PENDHA, two other spaces were opened in March 2011, one at Quisqueya University (UNIQ) and the other at the Higher School of Infotronique of Haiti (ESIH). Teacher beneficiaries of this training learn to build a digital learning curriculum that will be proposed to students on the internet.
