MARTELLY AND THE DONORS, A NEW RESULTS-ORIENTED COOPERATION
(Haiti Libre) -
The President of the Republic, Michel Martelly, met yesterday Thursday, with "the Donors" at the National Palace. He presented them his Presidential Technical Council (Conseil Technique Présidentielle - CTP), which will be called to develop monitoring and evaluation tools allowing the next government authorities to take cognizance of the guidelines for its administration.
Speaking to donors, the Head of State told them :
"...On the occasion of this week dedicated to governance, I come to tell you that today more than ever, I remain attentive to your expectations [...] The proof, is the attentive and patient attention, that I put in to the choice that I want.... concerted, but that must also be serious, of the capable human resources with me, to better serve the state; because it is the question to serve the state.
It is in this spirit, that starting with the presidency itself, I work with my office for the development of a technical council that is open, plural, and able to accompany us in a more timely manner for more advanced results. This Council will work closely with members of the government, those of the parliament and friends from the international community. It will listen to the people, will inform the President of the Republic of the performance of the public administration and of the international cooperation."
After this introduction, the CTP made a presentation, to the partners, of the ongoing activities. "Upon arrival of the next Government, the various actors
will be able to take note of the main priorities of the Head of State, of his vision of a new cooperation based on concrete results and of his modern conception of management of public affairs"
The President has spoken in favor of the emergence of a modern and efficient State at the service of all its citizens, to address the real aspirations of different sectors of the society. To this end the Head of State intends to mobilize all means and resources to bring this well-being awaited by the population.
