photos - usns comfort - part 5

This large oil tanker was anchored waiting for its turn to off-load at the nearby fuel terminal.
Because the sea was a little choppy and wouldn't stay still it was almost impossible to take a nice picture. I asked the rowboat driver if he could go closer and he said it was too far. This photo is the best one I got of all the 20 or so blurry photos that I took on the bumpy sea.
We were able to see the first boat launches from the USNS Comfort hospital ship. The crew on the launch were personnel who were preparing the site and clinic.
Discouraged, we headed back to shore where the Haitian people were watching the strange blanc who wanted to go into the middle of the harbor for a picture.
At least the rowboat was a better option than this leaky canoe.
