photos - franklin graham - part 1

Sunday afternoon we had a "Coram Deo Family Day" outing. We haven''t had too many of them this year because of everything that has happened but the children love Family Day. Sunday we went to see the Billy Graham Evangelical Association crusade that was held at the soccer stadium, which is located in downtown Port-au-Prince. I parked Kimosabee on the grounds of General Hospital so that he would be safe and then we walked the rest of the way to the stadium. We followed a tap-tap which had "LA PAIX" (peace) written on the back of it in bold letters.

We arrived at the stadium around 1:00pm.

The police were in front providing security and keeping an eye on things. The policeman on the right was keeping an eye on this woman who was walking.

There was a line-up to get inside and we saw some foreigners carrying some boxes who walked through another area and I told the children to hurry up and follow me and I told the security that we were with the people carrying the boxes. We got in and ended up right on the field! I turned to one of the haitian workers and told him we didn't want to be on the field but wanted to sit in the stands. He told us that we would need to get an entrance card at the back.

We went around back and saw another door and went to it and the guy asked us for our card. We told him that the guy at the front told us to go around the back and that I didn't have a card and I showed him my Coram Deo id card instead. He let us in to the reserved seating area. It is a good thing that it was early and people were busy getting ready for the crusade.
