HAITI GROUPS' SHOOTOUT ABORTS DOMINICAN THUGS HANDOVER, CARIBE REPORTS
(Dominican Today) -

Dajabón, Dominican Republic. - Amid a shootout a group of Haitians impeded the handover of an alleged criminal to Dominican authorities in the La Bomba sector of the border municipality, news source Caribe reports.

The gunfire between the groups, one headed by Antuan (Antonio), a well known merchant of the Haitian town of Wanaminte, and another from a sector which allegedly supports the thugs, raged when the first one apprehended the suspect identified as Jefri Arnot, of Dominican origin, and was about hand him over to the Dominican Army near the sector La Bomba, in Dajabón’s El Abanico district.

The group of Haitian thugs yielding pistols and submachine guns unleashed the shootout which aborted Arnot’s handover on the Haiti side, and panicked Dominicans, prompting the deployment of military reinforcements.
