September 2nd was assessment day for all the children. The surgical team built their surgical list for the next 3 days with the results of the assessment. It is always a difficult choice. Some children will get helped and some won't. The team will decide who would benefit the most from the surgery.
We had 4 mothers stay with us who were from the provinces while the mothers waited for the assessment date.
It was a long day for everyone but the mothers patiently waited for their child to be seen and evaluated by the doctors.
These surgeries are an opportunity for life for most of these children.
This mother came with her son to find out why he can not hold his head. He is a little cross-eyed too.
