When the earthquake struck it left a battered community.
Large buildings like this school and the church beside it collapsed killing several people that were inside.
Houses and walls around the canal collapsed.
There are a lot of young children in the neighborhood. When it rains the water in the canal rises and the open canal is a danger to anyone who happened to fall into it.
