It is great when people give of their time to come to Haiti to help. The medical system here in Haiti is such that the medical needs of the Haitian people cannot be met (especially the poor) and these teams help to provide short-term relief and for some of the patients long-term relief. It is through these clinics where people with problems requiring surgery pass through and we then network with other organizations to find further care.
Frandy, whose nickname is "Beard", for his mustache and small beard calls the number of the patient from the waiting area to the registration table. Macdonal who is seated in between 2 of the visitors always helps at the registration table providing translation services.
The young children standing by the table all have head fungus. Skin infections and head fungus are always a problem because of the humid and hot environment of living under tarps/tents.
One of the service providers is asking the patient questions about their health.
There were several people dedicated to the pharmacy area.
