Sherri had 2 different teams from North Carolina and Tennesee come to help her at Christian Light Mission. After everyone introduced themselves to each other they realized that there were several members who were medical personnel. Great for forming a medical team! Here they are with their haitian helpers who all chipped in at the last minute to make the clinics a possibility. We give the Lord thanks for their efforts!

It didn't take long to find patients for them to treat. We visited the refuge camps in the area to let people know there was a medical clinic. Here are a couple of mothers who brought their babies.

This man has had ongoing skin problems since the earthquake. He is holding an evangelism booklet written in the creole language that was handed out by the evangelists on the team.

This mother is waiting patiently for her number to be called.

Mackenson came from Fond Verrette with a woman who had a fibroid tumor. We are going to bring her to Bernard Mevs Hospital next week to see if they can help her out with surgery. She is experiencing quite a bit of discomfort. Pray we can find out a way to help her.

Many schools were damaged or destroyed during the earthquake. The Minister of Education has set the reopening date for schools in Port-au-Prince as April 5th. Heavily damaged schools are looking for alternate locations to hold classes.

The St. Paul school was destroyed. It is a large private school and nothing is left. All the rubble has been removed and work is being done to rebuild. The government encouraged destroyed schools to take down the building and clear out the rubble. The government is handing out portable shelters to be used in cleared out areas.

Fedner, Johnny and Herold attend College Baptiste Guilgal. The school was severely damaged during the earthquake but is looking for ways to reopen.

This mural translated into english reads "If you fall down, you can't fall further than into the arms of God". A good message for the Haitian people. Please continue to keep the nation of Haiti and its' people in prayer.

Dr. Karen and her medical team arrived on Saturday morning and right away set up to do a clinic here at Coram Deo. The people in the community are thankful to have these clinics. We are too! Pray for their efforts this week as they hold a clinic each day.

Francois, the gatekeeper was kept busy controlling access.

The front part of the house was full with people waiting. 220 people were seen at the clinic.

A couple of the team members handled patient registration writing down names and medical complaints.

These 2 doctors were busy at one of the consultation tables.

The other consultation area was the kitchen. The mission team from the United States did an excellent job and were enthusiastic and well received by the people. The team is going to do 6 clinics in different parts of Port-au-Prince. Pray for their efforts at providing for the medical and spiritual needs of the people they seek to help.

The first station is the waiting area. Patients wait on benches until their number is called.

Their names and medical information are written on a form and then they wait on a bench to see the doctor.

Our school teachers assisted in registering patients and helped with translating at the registration table.

After seeing the doctor the patient brings the prescription to the pharmacy station.

Dr. Karen McCarthey is from Jacksonville, Florida. We are thankful that her team was willing to do a clinic at Coram Deo for people living in our community. The people who benefited from the clinic were grateful for the assistance that they received.
