PRAYER REQUEST

Macdonald is a member of our Coram Deo family. A couple of days ago he started vomitting . We brought him to the Medecins Sans Frontieres Cholera Centre on Delmas 33 as a precaution. We arrived at the cholera centre and were told that the cholera treatment centre was full with cases but that he would be accepted as the last case. It ended up that they transferred him to the Medecins Sans Frontiere Hospital in the Sartre area of Port-au-Prince. He did not have cholera but had the same symptoms; diarrhea and vomitting. They did blood tests today and the doctor told him that he has both typhoid and malaria. Typhoid is spread just like cholera so we will be disinfecting everything and watching for symptoms in the other people who live here. The doctor also told us that we would have to transfer him to another health centre tomorrow and we are going to look around tomorrow for a place that can help him. Please pray for healing and strength for Macdonald and that nobody else here gets sick. With all the wet weather we have had lately disease conditions worsen.
