The Canadian military is helping in the relief effort here in Haiti providing security. These soldiers were at the Belgian hospital site at the Laboratoire National on Delmas 33.
Canadian military medics helped with wound care for the many that were injured during the earthquake. It is estimated that 500,000 people were injured during the earthquake.
This Canadian rescue/recovery worker was at the site of a collapsed bank on the Delmas road.
Heavy equipment was used to lift the rubble and retrieve any bodies that were underneath.
It is now estimated that around 200,000 people died in the earthquake.
