photos - benson/cite soleil clinic - part 1

We celebrated the birthdays of 2 of the children at Epi D'or this week. Herold and Benson's and a few of the Coram Deo children enjoyed Haiti's version of McDonalds!

This is house of Benson's mother. I am glad he is staying here at Coram Deo. He spent a week with his family between Christmas and New Years. I looked at it as a camping experience for him. Her house consists of plastic, sticks and old sheets of tin. She manages the best she can. Pray for her as she has a difficult life.

Pastor Octave asked us to bring an elderly member of his congregation to the Missionary of Charity Home for the Dying. One of her children carried her out to the truck as she was too weak to walk. Unfortunately the Home for the Dying had no place for her and we brought her back home. Pray for this family as they struggle through this difficult situation.

On Wednesday Dr. Ed and a medical team from New Hampshire held a medical clinic at the Maranatha church which is located on the main road of Cite Soleil. The church recently put up new tin sheets to replace the old ones that had bullet holes in them and were leaky in the rain. You can still see the bullet holes in the wall though. Times are better in Cite Soleil now. The church recently got a fresh coat of paint!

It was a full house with 225 medical and 20 dental cases being seen.
