photos - clinic - part 3
We have been helping out this young mother and her baby from time to time since the earthquake. They live on the soccer field near us in a tent. She is doing a good job at looking after her baby.
When we have clinics we go ahead of time to visit the camps near us to find out who is in need of medical care. There are a lot of fevers going around and we are keeping an eye out for cases of diarrhea which may be cholera.Monday, June 7, 2010

photos - clinic - part 3
We went to all the refuge camps in our area and found this lady who had severe burns on her legs, which were caused by hot oil falling on her during the earthquake. She is a street vendor who was preparing food at the time of the earthquake.
We brought her to the University of Miami mobile hospital set up on the grounds of the airport. While there we made contact with members of the surgical team who are part of the hydrocephalus project and returned to pick up Dorothy and Poutchino so that he could be evaluated.
