It was a fun day. Late in the afternoon while Dr. Karen was doing a minor surgery on the kitchen table I took a photo of the older guy of Coram Deo.
Vernaldino (Ti-Ben is his nickname) gave a hand part of the day too to help with crowd control.
Manu is really growing. He seems to be having a growth spurt . He is not shy and enjoys talking with everyone.

We have been helping out this young mother and her baby from time to time since the earthquake. They live on the soccer field near us in a tent. She is doing a good job at looking after her baby.

When we have clinics we go ahead of time to visit the camps near us to find out who is in need of medical care. There are a lot of fevers going around and we are keeping an eye out for cases of diarrhea which may be cholera.
The children love to have their picture taken. Maybe I take too many pictures but I just like people to meet the people of Haiti through pictures! The Haitian people are strong and determined; especially this year.
They want their children to be healthy and are thankful for the care that is provided.
Naval kept the young children busy by organizing some games.

We continued to hand out some of our P.E.I distribution to mothers at the medical clinic.

We went to all the refuge camps in our area and found this lady who had severe burns on her legs, which were caused by hot oil falling on her during the earthquake. She is a street vendor who was preparing food at the time of the earthquake.
We brought her to the University of Miami mobile hospital set up on the grounds of the airport. While there we made contact with members of the surgical team who are part of the hydrocephalus project and returned to pick up Dorothy and Poutchino so that he could be evaluated.
There was a constant stream of injured being brought to this airport hospital. The lady with the burns was carried from the truck to the triage area. She was operated on within the hour to debride her infected legs.
This rescue team was carrying another injured person.
Jeff was kept busy transporting injured to hospitals. These patients are waiting to be seen in the triage area.
