"Magui" is a 1-month-old baby boy who was born with a cleft lip and without an anus. He had emergency surgery to do a colostomy. His mother abandoned him the same day he was born at the emergency department in General Hospital. He has been in the pediatric surgery area of the hospital where nurses and parents of other patients are looking after him. He is small and is not thriving.

Chris Nungester is trying to get him released from the hospital to her care at His Home for Children. He only weighs about 3-4 pounds.

"Marvens" is a 2-month-old baby boy whose mother also abandoned him in the emergency room at General Hospital. He has been on the pediatric surgery floor for 2 months. He has a colostomy as well. Pray we can find an orphanage that will help him. Nurses and parents of other patients are helping to look after him as well.

This child was hospitalized in the pediatrics department of the hospital with meningitis. He is starting to develop hydrocephalus which is often a complication of meningitis. He has family who is at his side in the hospital lovingly looking after him.

Jonel's mother has a difficult task looking after Jonel and her other children. We are helping her with food assistance from the Feed My Starving Children rice meals that we receive through Love a Child. His pressure sores are not getting any worse and are starting to heal. Pray that they heal completely so that he will one day be able to get surgery to treat his hydrocephalus.

Luvens Francillon is a 1 1/2 year old boy who was born with clubbed feet and deformed toes. Sister Genevieve who is a nurse at Bernard Mevs Hospital called me this week and asked if I could try to find some help for him. We brought him over to see Vanessa of Angel Missions who is visiting Haiti for a couple of weeks.

He is a happy boy who can't stand yet.

Solyvien Favra has a twisted foot caused by an improperly set broken bone. Over the years the deformity has gotten worse.

When he walks the foot twists until he almost ends up walking on the top part of his foot.

Ivona Dessalines is a young girl who is from Gonaives and is living at the orphanage that Sheri, of Christian Light Ministries has. Pray that we can get her paperwork for her so that she can travel to the Shriners Hospital to get this problem treated.

Johnsly Stelle is a 7 month old baby with clubbed feet. His left foot is more clubbed than the right one. His father is doing a good job of raising him after the mother died 15 days after giving birth.

Octavio Jean has a cleft lip and palette. It is good that Smile Train has expressed interest to help children and adults in Haiti born with this problem.

Bertony Philistin has an abscess under his arm. Hopefully with medicine it will go away on its own. The family lives near our house. His mother is almost blind and the father died recently.

Marcensly Pierre is a young baby with hydrocephalus. Hopefully he will be one of the children selected for surgery sometime in October or November.

Jonel Colo is another infant that came to the house with hydrocephalus. He is also registered in the hydrocephalus program. Hydrocephalus is a common problem here in Haiti.

We rejoice that Pharah Simeon is now in the United States to get medical treatment.

John Charles is from Bombardopolis. Hopefully he will be able to travel to the United States as well.

This is Lourdie Aldor standing on 2 legs again. Her right leg was amputated above the knee a couple years ago because of a tumor. She will be getting used to her new leg walking around in our yard.

Chrisno Jeudi is another hydrocephalus child we hope will be able to travel to the United States as well.

These are some of the children from Paulna's village holding their faith bracelets and card.
