If my family makes a visit to Haiti I am going to bring them to the Karibe Hotel to see the garden there.
Our visit is over and near the hotel construction was going on. A heavy cement panel was being lowered into a foundation of something. ... another part of the hotel being built?
We parked along the sideroad. Kimosabee was safe.
And looking towards the hillside you can see many houses stacked up the side of the mountainside.
Looking a little closer you can see the bare ground. Pray for the rainy season here in Haiti. 6 people lost their lives in a landslide last week. People say the El Nino effect will bring more rain to Haiti this year. There was also major flooding in 2004 and 2008. Following a 4 year cycle maybe 2012 will be a flooding year. I hope not.
