An employee from the National Palace was shot by armed men Thursday, while driving on Airport Road.

Jean Robert Louis (aka "Ti-Frere") was attacked by heavily armed bandits while he was alone driving his vehicle.

His vehicle, a white Toyota licensed to the National Palace was covered in gun shots. The victim was shot during this attack and is currently receiving medical care at a hospital in the capital.

According to a doctor who requests anonymity, this man is someone close to President Michel Martelly and he was shot several times. His condition is stable, following a surgical intervention.

We have also found out that the President of the Republic has visited the hospital, where he assisted the patient in obtaining a surgical intervention.
