The church is getting a tin roof.

The church is being rebuilt with voluntary Haitian labor. Most of the workers are pastors and leaders in other churches who have come to give a lending hand. This carpenter is a pastor.

The Haitian people have skills to build. By providing them with the materials and support they can rebuild their country.

There continues to be a high demand for medical needs in the community. Some adults live in pain for years because they can't afford to get the necessary surgery they need. This older man lives in Cite Soleil. For the last several years he has suffered with a very large hernia that is uncomfortable and painful. It is difficult for him to move around. A couple of weeks ago we sent him to the hospital in Cange where he was able to receive a surgery for free. Pray for the work of Partners in Health as they help the poorest of the poor by providing vital medical care.

This older man has suffered for the last few years with a large mass on his left thigh that was painful. He could hardly walk. We brought him to Hopital Adventiste where an orthopedic missions organization works and he too received a free surgery to remove the mass in his leg. The doctors said it was a "ganglione cyst". He still has some pain from the surgery and will be going back to the hospital tomorrow to get the sutures removed. We give the Lord thanks that these men were able to get the care that they needed and that they will now hopefully have improved lives. Pray for all those who are searching for medical care.
