This is all that is left of the "pastor's residence". He was fortunate to escape with his life.
To escape from the waters he opened the door of his church and rushed inside.
He stacked church benches to reach to the roof....
... and pried away at the tin. People from above lifted him out through the roof.
Church members helped out the next day to clean the mud and waters from the church floor. Pray for this church member and that we can find a way for him to build a retaining wall to prevent further erosion.
