There's not much support left for this tree.


If erosion continues there soon will be no road.


The other side of the ravine was eroded by the rushing waters too. Notice the property to the left. It is difficult for rushing waters to make a curve. There was so much water that the waters rushed over the wall.....


... and destroyed the temporary homes located on the property. The walls surrounding the property were never rebuilt after the earthquake. The shelters were smashed and a couple carried down through the ravine. Because this all happened early in the evening the people had already evacuated as they saw the waters raise.


A whirlpool was formed off to the left caused by the churning waters encountering the walls.
