Some more photos of all the children helped with a cleft lip or palette surgery. The Smile Network teams go to several countries around the world. This team had medical personnel from different areas of the United States and also Canada. What a blessing to see all these changed smiles :) Please pray for all the Smile Network teams.

16-Year-Old Boy - Cleft Lip Surgery
This 16-year-old boy (I forget his name :( ) came to stay with us for a few days with his father. He had surgery yesterday and left with his father to go back out to the countryside before we arrived at the hospital this morning. Another changed face to rejoice over :)
Wilkens Jean - Cleft Lip Surgery
Early yesterday morning we brought Wilkens Jean to the hospital. Yesterday it was his turn to receive a cleft lip corrective surgery from the Smile Network team. Each patient needs to be accompanied by a family member. Wilkens Jean had come to Port-au-Prince by himself. We adopted him into our Coram Deo family while he is here in Port-au-Prince and Rudy played the part as his brother at the hospital. Yesterday morning Rudy stayed with Wilkens. Late yesterday afternoon Wilkens... had his surgery. This morning when we brought food to the hospital I walked right past Wilkens and didn't recognize him. Wilkens has a new face :) He was shunned and teased because of his cleft lip. Now he is a young man with no physical handicap anymore! Pray for Wilkens as he travels back to the Saut D'eau/Boucan Carre region of Haiti. It is awesome to see the change that a surgery can make in the life of a person. Sometimes life is difficult here in Haiti. No matter what the hardship that Haiti or anyone else throws at me I will continue the fight to help the handicapped here in Haiti :) I love these times of rejoicing in a changed life :)
What's Your Goal? - Chicago Black Hawks
Being a Canadian, I love hockey! My favourite team is the Toronto Maple Leafs. After hearing about the What's Your Goal campaign I have a new team to cheer on since the Toronto Maple Leafs keep losing :) It is great how the team is fulfilling dreams of children with handicaps. Here are a few videos of the What's Your Goal campaign:

Institut De Rehabiltation Dr. Gerard Leon
We went to the new Institut De Rehabilitation Dr. Gerard Leon this morning which has only been open a few months. This brand new rehabilitation centre is equipped with things I haven't seen in Haiti, like an audiology room to test hearing :) They also have separate areas for wound care, physiotherapy for adults and children, occupational therapy, and eye care. Everything is so new! We brought 3 young children to get evaluated by the physiatrist this morning. 2 have referrals to see an orthopaedic surgeon. We are going to bring them to see the Broken Earth Newfoundland Team which is going to be at Bernard Mevs Hospital from March 21 - 28. One child has been accepted into the physiotherapy department to strengthen his right side of his body after a bout with meningitis as an infant. Because this is a state hospital the consultation fee is only 10 H$ (1.25US$). Today was a fun day!
